Bose Gold stereo system?
My question is, can I install a new, aftermarket head unit with a wiring harness adapter and have it work with the stock speakers and amp(s)?
Or, if I want/need a new head unit, must I replace all the components of the stock system?
I've been told that both are true by many people so I'm hoping I can get a straight answer here.
Also, is there a way to test if this head unit works without installing it in the car? And, if it is working, is there any possible way to add a Bluetooth function to the stock system? If this head unit works and I can resolve the electrical issue mentioned in the beginning, I'd like to keep the stock system but it won't be of much use if a Bluetooth receiver modification isn't possible. I'm fresh out of tape decks 😂

If you can get the Original Head to work.
If your existing Bose speakers/amplifiers still work.
If your Cassette deck is still working.
You can buy a Bluetooth Cassette option.
The Battery power Bluetooth cassette will plug in to the deck and sync with your phone
and then you will be able to play music on your iPhone into the Bose radio.
On my Bose system, I used a cheaper solution, I used a Cabled version of the cassette adapter.
I plug in the stereo cable into the bottom of my iPhone 10 and listen to music on the Bose.
Note: I had to buy a stereo to iPhone adapter cable for 10 bucks.
The MP3 Music through the cassette adapter to the Bose actually sounds much better than the stock Bose FM.
