Just clean out the old grease really well, and look for the plastic particles.. Good luck with the rebuild..

Default Update

Just got headlight gears installed and everything is working like it should
thanks for all the feedback I did go cheap and bought the nylon replacement gears but I probably won’t use the headlights that often so should be fine. But now I know how to do the job if I need to do it again.

C4 Headlights are slick the way they spin and open. In the early evening, around dusk, I always wait until I drive through an intersection to flip em on. Everybody at the red light always looks at em like...ooooo....ahhhhh...

Heh heh. Dumb sht, but I like the cool factor.

Unless you were around and old enough in the 80s, most people these days haven't even seen pop up headlights, so it's kind of somethign new, even though it's an old idea.

Anyway. Glad you got em working.

I really dig your blue '72.

For the longest time I was wanting a blue '71 or '72.

Then I started thinking on it over the winter and got to leaning toward a C6.

But now seing yours reminds me how much better I really do like a C3. Particularly that color.
