Life is way to short to let the car of my dreams just sit in the garage. More miles = more smiles. What better way to make up for working all day than to hop into my Vette, go fast through some twisties or punch it off the line a few times (cept maybe get some from the gf, but drivin a Vette will get you home sooner :D )

Re: Daily Driver (VVette dreams)
My Vette is a daily driver now. When I first got my Vette I had a choice, and I picked the Vette every morning. After driving the Vette everyday it was impossible for me to go back to driving a slow & ugly car… so I sold the other car. Here I am almost four years later, and I wouldn't change a thing. It's harder to keep it clean, but if I'm rolling... I’m rolling in my Vette :yesnod:
Mine used to be a daily driver until some POS decided to redecorate the rear of the car with a nice scratch from taillight - taillight... She'll get taken care of soon, but I'd have liked to have killed the person who did that if I had caught them in the act... I bought a daily driver a week later... :mad
I felt that I didn't want a "slow and ugly" car either since I would be spending so much time in it... I opted for an older but low mile Northstar powered Eldorado... Not quite as much fun as the Vette, but that Northstar sure is fun to rev to almost 6500RPM... Now I just need to make it handle/corner a little better... :D
I bought my 88 Corvette in spring of 99 as a toy and a back car whenever my daily driver break down. I drive it every chance I got for the first two years until it began to have one problem after another. Car has been on the jackstands for almost two years. Just finish rebuilding a few months ago, still have problems that need to look into :nopity. Car still not diverble yet, had to redo the head studs, water leaks into the engine . I never drive the car hard and it still have much more problems than my daily... I guess when I buy a C5 and get rid of my daily then the 88 will be my daily. As of now, I haven't drive my vette more than 500 miles for more than two years :mad
Mine's a driver. Just a few miles short of 150K. Done the usual repairs but I get the joy of driving it EVERYWHERE, any day, every day...none better...
Corvette, built to be driven!
My 85 is a daily, 170K worth, the 98 is for the weekends or when the 85 is being worked on. Both have seen rain and snow. Heck, I have even taken the 98 off road :D No garage queens here
Depends on the weather...normally I'll drive the Van, when it's nice out I'll bring out the Vette. Until then she stays nice and shiny in the garage :D
My vette is the only car that I have licenced. I'm thinking about putting a hot rod Caddy on the road though so I can get some much needed work done to the Vette
I drive the ZR-1 everyday unless there's a significant chance of precip. Yesterday, there was a "slight" chance of snow flurries, so I drove it to work and ended up with 2" of snow on it when it was time to leave... :( I hate when that happens...but I can't stand to go to work and leave it in the garage. These things are made to be :steering:
Driven Daily :steering:
It is my only car. I bought my 87 from my step-dad in 94 with 70k on it. It now has 144k, and that is with it sitting for about 1 1/2 years while I was overseas. Rain or Shine.
:( Course, right now Iam driving a rental Mitsu while the 87 is under the brush. At 1 p.m. today it will be a whole week vetteless.
I've driven SUV's for the past 7 or 8 years. First the '91 Blazer which now has 120k on it, then the '99 Tahoe which has a little over 30k on it now (bought a bigger boat, needed a bigger truck to tow it) and then this year said "I need a friggin car". I haven't had a car in long time so why not get a Vette? I drive it every chance I get (weather permitting) but I can't say it's my daily driver. The Tahoe is pretty much the daily driver.
here's a pic of my boat :D
