Transparent targa issue
I'd like to hear about your experience with polishing an OEM transparent targa roof. Mine has areas that you can't snag with a fingernail but you can see, marring and swirls. I don't want to make it worse, just see some improvement. Thanks

Plenty of people have done it. My main concern would be getting a protective coating back on top of it. I don't know that you could polish just a section of it either.
Relensing isn't that expensive though, so that's nice at least.

The thing I've seen most often recommended here is the liquid version of Barkeeper's Friend. Mine's so scratched I think I would have to remove too much acrylic so I haven't bothered to try. I just put 303 Aerospace protectant on the outside of mine, or maybe whatever quick detail I might be using on the rest of the car.

I did mine. I sanded with a very fine sandpaper, about 1500 as I recall, until all the old coating was off, since the scratches went through the coating. I then buffed it a couple of times. It still looks like new after about 4 years. I use Rejex on it when I do the car.
