I have Continental Extreme Contact Sport tires on my 94. They are very quiet and have tons of grip. Three years ago at Discount Tire I paid $900 all in including tax. They are a summer only tire only however.
I had a heckuva time finding the OEM correct size for the rear on my '93. I finally wound up with a set of these that I'm less than 1000 miles into. I bought mine from Tire Rack, and had a good experience. They shipped to a local mechanic whom I paid to mount and balance. The tires were $841, I don't remember how muck mounting etc cost, but I think I was under $900 all in. I like 'em OK so far but there are a lot of, "summer use only," "not recommended for under 40 degrees," driving at temps below 20 degrees will damage the tires," type warnings that go with them. That didn't thrill me, but it also didn't effect me too much this year but it was a warm winter here.

That was one of the reasons I went with the Conti's, they were available in the exact sizes the car was born with. At that time I only found one other tire that came in the correct sizes, they were from Nitto but they were out of the front size. I called Nitto and they could not tell me when they would be back in stock for that size so I went with the Extreme Contact Sports. Continental had come out with that tire about six months earlier and the reviews I read were highly favorable so I had Discount Tire order a set and had them in two days.

Trust me: Nitto did you a big favor by not having their tires in stock! The Contis are in another league in terms of both performance and quality.
