The VIN will only give you a generic bit of information. The best way to get the most complete information is to request a build sheet and or window sticker from the National Corvette Museum. The rpo label in the car will also give you a lot of information as well.
What they said! The RPO sheet is the real winner to figure out all the fancy features your Vette came with. If you can't find it (check the center console, check the rear passenger storage bin, or as a last resort you can try to get a borescope or similar to see if there's still one strapped to the top of the fuel tank), providing your VIN to the National Corvette Museum will let them send you your car's build sheet.
NCM has cut the time it takes to process a build sheet order in half.
I just got my window sticker and build sheet the other day. Took three weeks versus the six weeks it took in previous years.
It was $152 for two copies of each with one copy of each being laminated.
Ironically, the car was originally delivered to J.B.A. Chevrolet in Glen Burnie Md, per the window sticker, then moved to Florida where lived the next 25 years, then when I bought it, It shipped back up here where it now lives just 60 miles from where it was originally delivered.
I wonder if I take it back to the original dealership whether they'll fix the two seat belt recalls that were never addressed. Highly doubtful, I imagine.

First problem might be finding one of their people who even knows what the car is!
If you are looking for the car's build sheet, the location may vary by when it was built.
My 94 had it rolled up inside the front passenger side frame rail in the engine compartment.
I needed some patience digging it out with a pick. Note: This was a revelation many years ago on this forum, I believe the original thread is in archives or gone.
A clean copy from NCM would be nice.
