I have a 95 corvette with a semi freshly swapped lt1 with 80k on the engine and 111xxx on the rest of the car. I have a leak under the hood/seating area that I don't think is oil because dipstick reads normal and the oil guage is looking fine. I've also got a check engine light but I feel like that's because I swapped an engine in. The car runs and sounds fine shifts smooth just wanted to get an idea of if anyone else had similar problems before I go down the rabbit hole.
That's nothing to go on. Brake Cleaner will clean off everything so you can get a good look. You need to know more about what it is first.
Also, you need to buy a scanner and a Factory Shop Manual or you will be going down that rabbit hole faster and deeper than you thought possible. Scanner, not code reader to know what code is present and see data.
A scanner won’t find your leak. And it’s not necessary strictly speaking unless there’s a specific issue you’re trying to hunt down. I recommend just starting with the check engine codes first. But for a scanner, you just need a USB cable and free software.
