How much is a '89 6 speed worth with about 35,000 miles, garage queen, in great shape, needs tires? It's not really what I am looking for, but might be to good a car to pass up.
I've seen plenty of clean late 80s c4s in the 5-7k range. Realistically it's worth whatever someone is willing to pay for it. 10k max imo and that's for a damn near perfect one.
I agree with Fauee. If it only needs tires 10-12K all day. However garage queens can develop problems if not driven regularly. If it has Z51 listed on the RPO sticker under the console pay the $12K and do the maintenance required to put it back on the road.
Yep, rephrase the question to “How much would you pay...” and watch the valuations and deeper interest in condition change! Funny how easy it is to spend other folks money!

Sometimes, but I would pay $9k for an 89 MN6 that is very clean.
Passed on a 53k mi Z51 car (same yr 6 spd) had all the right stuff, gorgeous paint. Wanted 9500 and raved about how awesome it was.
Wasnt worth half that..if someone didnt have an eye for those cars they woulda got screwed. Like super bad.
Make sure you drive it these are too old to go by a pic or a sellers story and they all tell them.
Thanks for the replys guys, I was thinking it should be worth about the same, range $9K to $11K, but was wishing it would be worth more, the type of thing where I could put tires on it drive it for the summer, and sell and make a little bit, but do not think that is the case.

Yep. Pretty much.
There was a thread around here not long ago that a guy had a thriple black 6 speed with the Z51 package he was looking to sell and everyone told him it wasn't worth hardly anything.
I think I should be able to buy a '92-95 with less than 60,000K on it for about $7500 if it an auto, sound about right?
I would say yes, if you're willing to get a driver quality car vs a creampuff, it will probably need tires, some refreshing of parts, and you won't be able to be particularly picky with color. Or anything really. That price is on the very low side for an lt1 car, so you're gonna be facing some stiff competition for those cars.

Edit: remember that car, it needed some work and wasnt worth what the guy had hoped for. Kick myslef for passing up a 20k mi example, orig owners still. Sold for 10-12k somewhere in that range. car was so perfect it was worth it.
