I am surprised at this statement. Do you mean the C7 lacks the rawness and the pure sports car feeling of the C4? My ultimate dream car is a C7 GS.
The C4 is certainly more raw feeling and with all the tech in the new cars they just don’t give the same thrill. Like I said the C7 is a wicked ride but more refined grand touring. Both cars have their place but I’ll be keeping the C4 for the duration while the C7 is just a fun toy until the warranty is almost up. JMO.
The car looks to be in amazing condition! Do you know any of the car's history? How's the interior?
Car has 41,xxx miles. According to the PO it’s never seen snow or rain. I’m the third Canadian owner, I live in Ontario Canada but the car was originally delivered to a dealership in New York. The second owner here had it for 10 years and put about 4500 miles on it in that time. The first Canadian owner was an auto mechanic and did a decent job maintaining it for the 10 years he owned it. He also only put about 5000 miles on the clock. I don’t have much info on its life State side but I have a big folder with all of the maintenance done since it has been up here. The paint is about a 9/10 it has some stubborn water spotting on the hood and rear valance that is still a bit noticeable after I compounded and polished. I don’t want to get too aggressive with the clear coat so I’ll likely leave it. The interior is also about a 9/10, the only issue is the usual “no air from vents” that seems to be common with all ‘96’s. I pulled the HVAC controller today and will hopefully have it fixed with new tubing tomorrow.
