Considering a '91 coupe automatic
so if you buy an Exklers replacement switch the mount will be reversed you would have to make new taps on the shaft column. That turned into plan B if this wasn't gonna work out. The switch screws are at the top and it will be a project to take that out. Then mount new aftermarket switch and align it right and all that. This works for now. Is only the plunger return spring and it holds that rod up and the hi beam return it's pretty stout but just got tired. So to prove it is the same for you you can manually help the switch return and you should be able to reset the switch and flick your beams down And it will work once. you might get lucky and just create a little more return room on the switch be careful the rod is also a little finicky. Then there is the risk that you can't get the rod far enough down. It's a delicate balancing act.
It's hard to see but there is a double 45 angle in the rod behind the spring about. Use pliers and zig zag it to stretch or compact. A very little. Hope that helped.
