I bought this car in 09 for $6,300 from a Chevy dealer over the internet. Flew to Dayton, Ohio and drove it back to Texas. Twelve years later with just normal maintenance and few parts replaced it runs like the day it came off the line at Bowling Green. Cold AC, 6 speed, fairly quick, and fairly economical. To me, except for the C2, this is the best looking Corvette ever. Where else do you get this kind of "bang for the buck", great Car! Aug 5, 2021 Simple and elegant
how many miles have you put on it in the 12 years of your ownership?
91,000. And speaking of driving, the L98 is much overlooked in the Corvette world. I have owned a 250, 300, 350, 365, 390, and 425HP Corvette, and the L98 is the best driver of them all. It has power where I need it, from idle to 4,500rpm. The performance feels much like a 427/390 I owned years ago which had great performance from a dead stop to Interstate speed. My old 91 with the six speed is no slouch 0-60.
Living in a rural area I'm on two lane roads quite a bit, and when passing slower traffic, you slip this car into 4th, and you will pass them like a shot. Like I said, a lot of "bang for the buck".
