About 2 months back I was driving my corvette on the interstate going about 10 over, all of a sudden my power went out entirely and I had to throw my hazards on and go off to the side. I had to get towed. Now present day and my corvette still won’t start, I changed the alternator and battery thinking that was the issue but it wasn’t. The starter still works from what I can hear but it just doesn’t turn over whatsoever. Does anyone have any thoughts?
Year would help. You can hear the starter but it doesn’t turn over ?? If it’s making a sound it should be turning over unless you’re just hearing the solenoid spinning and its not actually engaging the starter gear.
You simply have a loose connection somewhere. Why would you change the alternator?
Since the power cut out I thought that the alternator was the issue, the battery that I had in my vette when it shut off on the interstate was completely drained. Where do you think the loose connection might be, on the Alternator or?

You mentioned you put a socket on the crankshaft and it moved a little bit. Have you confirmed you can turn the engine over by hand several revolutions? Agree with @Cruisinfanatic its either a bad or dirty connection or the starter is bad. Get the car running again and then check voltage.
If you're having trouble rotating the engine by the crank, try pulling all the plugs. If they engine doesn't turn easily with a socket with the plugs out you have a problem with the engine. You should keep all the plugs in order and look to see if any are damaged, oily, burnt, water, or any other tell tale signs. If engine is fine you can take the starter to most autoparts stores to check if it is good. How's the oil in the engine? Check if it has an excessive burnt smell to it or metal shavings in it. Might do an oil change to confirm that if you suspect engine damage.
