I have had my '93 C4 seat covers and foam replace. Love the new leather. Need to find out how to keep it nice.
I was given back the old seats and backs back.. Are these worth anything to anyone or should I just toss them? Except for the driver seat worn through from getting in and out, they are in decent shape. Just want to check before tossing in the trash.
lemon pledge. never heard of that. youve done that for 28 years no negative side effects?
Not quite. I've only owned the car for 18 of those years. But, I first heard that Al Knoch recommends using Pledge (don't recall where I heard it), and was so skeptical about it that I called and asked them. They confirmed that it's all they use on leather. I use it on all of my interior seats, console, dash pad, and door panels. Dirt cheap, smells nice, and works great. Spray a little on a white terrycloth towel or old T-shirt, rub it onto the surfaces, then wipe off any excess with a dry cloth.
I would offer them to the community before tossing them. They may be better than what someone has and they would appreciate having them.
On the lemon Pledge, I have also never heard of using that on leather. Has it kept the leather soft for the last 18 years? I wonder how well it would work on older leather that's somewhat dry.

Yes.

I can't comment on that, having not tried it. Suggest giving Al Knoch a call and ask them what they recommend for reconditioning older, dry leather? If you try it, please let us know how it goes.
