im assuming u r on stock j55’s and that sounds exactly like my beakes. i do have to press hard but if you get the pedal stroke “into the meat of its travel” they do the job for sure and they are not fading on me ever. i use 660 motul. i use 600 in my clutch.
congrats on the constant improvement.
so did the thinner clutch master firewall plate work? what got the clutch sorted?

I will try to upload some footage here!
I don't think I have J55. I thought that was the brake upgrade option, but I will check my RPOs
But yeah thank you for the pad recommendation! You are totally right once in the meat of the brake pedal stroke you have all the feel and finesse necessary with the actual stopping power. The DFC seem like a decent budget track pad to me in my limited experience!
clutch issue isn't entirely sorted yet, updated in other thread.
Man I can't wait for more power this winter. Hoping for 1.6 roller rockers, I already got the TPIS big mouth TPI intake manifold, that plus Arizona Speed and Marine long tube TPI runners, then extrude hone it all, fuel pump, maybe injectors, and a good tune.
Cool pics! It looks like you have little or no static negative camber up front, though: you seem to have a lot more negative camber in back than in front. Do you know your alignment specs?
Glad yall like the pics! It was an awesome day between the new personal best, helping by buddy get a plug swapped mid day, and the upgraded DFC brake pads and Motul fluid doing the job, it just was great all around. Much appreciation to the race organizers, you guys, and of course the C4 Corvette.

have you lowered it or is that from compression? 315’s all around ?
Lowered in the rear about 1.5" I think using longer bolts. Front is factory FE1 FE9. I know it isn't a Z51 car unfortunately. Coils eventually i would like. 315s square, Nittor NT05
After the last race of the season I'll probably swap the Nitto 555s back on and see if I can't save the NT05s for next summer/season!

Alignment is still the same as when I last had it set up. Something like -3 degrees rear but a measly -0.8 degrees front. In the rear under hard cornering I'm rubbing through the liners, and it doesn't look right anyway with way too much tuck in terms of aesthetics. I'll get a realigned perhaps this winter.
Also for what it is worth, here is my standing from this past race day. Our classes are separated by power to weight ratio. At the beginning of the season everyone submitted dyno sheets and curb weights and that is how they classed us. I'm basically in the middle of B class at roughly 3300lbs/250rwp = 13.2 where the B class is anything above 10.0 but below 15.00
This is my first season, so I'm mainly just happy that I'm having fun, learning both about the mechanics of the car and the technique of racing, and that I haven't totaled my C4 yet or anything disastrous. I have already said this earlier in the thread but actual track time makes me wish I had a car with a broader powerband in RPM space. The idea of an LT4 or an LT5 just seems so appealing now. The two double apex turns on our track really are tough with my TPI and 6 speed and 3.54 gears. I can either skip the shift and stay in 3rd for the entire thing, but sorta lug the motor just a bit down low, or I can stay in 2nd the entire time and skip the shift and wind it out and lose time up top at high RPM, or I can work the shift and keep the motor in its happy band but lose time to shifting!
A 1996 LT4 is still my eventual plan.
