88 C4, first vet and loving it. Want to switch out some of the exterior lighting for LED's. Did the headlights already and lost the fog lights. Switched out one of the parking lights and lost the marker light for that side. I have read and heard about the use of a resistor. Is that true and if so how and where please?
In my opinion it is easier to ground the fog light relay than bothering with the resistor. Big advantage is the fogs work with low and high beam. I haven’t messed with running lights yet, maybe this summer.

Thank you jmeyer58! next crazy question. Have not done that before. Where is the relay and how please?
Search the forum using the advanced search putting “LED” in the search. You will find many but the ones by “Nomake Wan” and “Circuit doctor” will give you the most information. Nomake Wan post was on 4/7/20 and the Circuit Doctor starts back 2015.
I just dropped the passenger side lower dash (carpeted piece by your knees) and the relay box is there. I then found the ground wire coming from the relay, on my 96 it was a green wire with black stripe, not sure about your 88. Cut and Ground the wire coming from the relay and tape off the side going into the harness. Reinstall lower dash and voilà.
