I am sure this question has been asked and answered before, but I can't seem to find the answer.
I have a 1995 Base Coupe, and I have the window ticket and build sheet, and I have the list of options from the RPO sticker in the storage compartment behind the passenger seat. My problem is that when I look and all the blocks on the Build Sheet, there are alpha and numeric codes, and I have no clue what it means. I know this is what was installed in the car as it was assembled, but HOW do I decode the information in the blocks? Is there a master list someplace?
Thanks (and let me know if I have won a prize for being the 500th person to ask this question)
To actually aid 'decode/decipher' the Build Sheet just post an image of it. The Build Sheet ID's the components that were used in the build. The SPID label in rear compartment is Regular Production Options. There's much that can be determined from the SPID label.
An example for '95 might be wheel option, a base RPO QB6 is 17 X 8 1/2 front & 17 X 9 1/2 rear. The Build Sheet would specify Fronts in a block and Rears in a Block, A FE1 suspension RPO on the SPID label, the Build Sheet sheet would specify Front spring code in a block and the Rear Spring code in another.
This link has appropriate RPO explanation for C4 1995. There for sure are more concise lists but this should do well.
Looking for some 'The Corvette Black Book' production information. I've been doing some 'RARITY' research and for 1993 I'm interested in the information posted similar to what @Vette DD posted in #5. I did a '93 'vert for a user and production # didn't match 'Corvsport.com' information. I assumed that they likely duplicate TCBB for numbers. What is the 'vert production in 1993 using TCBB?
My Black Book shows 1993: 15,898 Coupe, 5,692 Convertible, 21,590 Total. The ending VIN sequence number is 21,142 for 1G1YY, and 448 for 1G1YZ. Which total 21,590.
Cheers.
I did a Compnine 'RARITY' for a fellow with a '93 'vert and got 5689 for a production. I hadn't done a '93 coupe for anyone. When doing it produces only relevant options some interesting might be MD8 (4353), GM1 (3415). Since the VIN I used didn't have G92 it wouldn't have populated.
The VIN I did had white interior and top - that produced some interesting numbers. There's maybe a single 53U (Yellow) 'vert w/10T and 10I
Using your #'s -- I 'fabricated' a VIN for 21142 and it appears to be a coupe built July 14 w/37 options.
Those codes are interpreted in The Corvette Black Book.
I've got them posted below.
Thanks for the reply
I have the Black Book and it does not have the information I am looking for on this car. 1995 Base/Coupe two Examples - Block 21 TRANSMISSION - Code is "D", Block 50 FUEL SENDER - Code YPF.
I can't find information on what those codes are telling me.
There are 73 blocks of information on this sheet and most have data, some are blank and some are easy to understand. From the Examples I have seen in other years it would seem that the layout, number of blocks and amount of information vary from year to year. .....The search goes on.

They do vary year to year Block 50 if a ZR-1 I'd expect YPE for '95, an LT1 in an Export car I'd expect YPG, YPF = LT1 non EXP. D in trans block maybe isn't odd. A ZR-1 in '95 has an R there. What's the 3 letter code in the block before the D? ZUC maybe? Is it an A4 or M6? If an M6 I'd expect maybe XHT or ZUF.
I mentioned earlier I believe - just post an image of your Build Sheet. The more legible the better.
OK, Attached is a photo of the Build Sheet as it hangs on the wall. (too big for my scanner) Hopefully, you can expand it enough to read it. If not I am willing to type the information in an effort to get it decoded/translated into useable information.

Try a 'search' or rarity option for "Pilot Vehicle". The RPO is in the V or W series, but I can't recall it exactly. (If I think of it, or where to find it, I'll post back.)
When Compnine debuted in 2011, it was free, including the rarity search. I dinked around with it and figured out the number-produced for the color combinations on Typhoons, which prior to that had never been known. (I didn't put that on wiki. Someone else took my post on syty.net and put it on wiki with no attribution to the guy that did it first.) At the time, the accepted number of 1992 Typhoons produced was 2,497. In Compnine, the number of RPO Z79 (Typhoon package) is 2,500. And the other Typhoon specific options and color combos total 2,500 as well. I found (3) 1992 Z79 that also had this "pilot vehicle" RPO. Pilot vehicles are usually saleable units, so they can be in the VIN production sequence totals. But may be excluded for 'number produced' in literature or official retail units.
"Pilot vehicles" could explain the difference between the higher VIN sequence total, and the published number of units produced. I thought I was using Compnine well before 2011.
Cheers.
Engineering is YE8 and Pilot is WD1. I've never seen those eliminated but possible. There's also WD2 or Prototype. I thought I was using Compnine well before 2011.
For '93 I see WD2 - 2, YE8 - 11, WD1 - 4,
and finally
VS7 (Non Saleable) - 15
What was the first year for 'Museum Delivery' R8C?
OP #1 - CQT is actually the 2.59 rear axle, 2 - 4 of no consequence/value to you except that your half shaft might have a label 9YA still there, you have FSS Front Spring, NYR Rear Spring, if shocks were original there might be a WP & JY label on them, ZUC engine is what I mentioned. Most other information was relevant to assembly line, block 37 BRNZ top, your steering column would have a label DZZ as well a a part #. I do understand nearly all but they're typically of no concern to most owners.
If your PCM were original it should have a label with the BMDR included on a label Also the Emissions label under-hood should/could have YAA as well as a part # on it.
