Default Finally time to start driving!

Well it's been a long cold winter. But the time finally came today to put insurance on the corvette and take it out of storage. She fired right up even after sitting for months and drove like a dream. This is the first year in a long time that I haven't had the car all apart working on it all winter, so it was different to just fire it up and start driving.

who else is ready for summer driving? Let see some pictures of your C4's

Put about 300 miles on it already. we had a couple 70 degree days early in the month and I had the same issue... nothing else to fix on it. So i tried breaking things.

Love those rims DMITTS. What is the size of you rims / tires combos?

I have an almost new set of BFG 255 50 16’s on my original salad shooters. If anything happens to any of the tires, given the general lack of availability, I’m probably going to have to rethink my rims and tires altogether.

Thanks. They are the 18x10.5 C5 Z06 rear wheels with 315 tires. I have them on all 4 corners. It took a 'little' suspension massaging to get them to fit and tuck-in nicely.

First car show I've been to since 2019 (due to covid restrictions) so great to get out to one again!

was parked next to a tri-power mid year car too!

The car show was followed immedietly by a 200mile cruise with my wife. Hope you guys are enjoying your C4 as much as we are.

Cheers.

Thanks Ryan. Ya I'd like to for sure. I'll have to see what sort of events are avaliable, everything was shut down the last two years, but as of April 8th we can live again so I'll see what is being offered for autocross in my area.

My son drove the Z the other day and got her wet and dirty . I had just changed the oil and filter so now it's time for first wash of the season. Yes it's seen rain before . Doesn't get driven much but not freaking out because of some wet weather.

Why is it that newer vehicles keep leaving stains on the driveway and the 91 Corvette is dry ?

Yes, it started as an LS2, it's been built with forged internals, ported heads, ported fast intake, high-end valvetrain and all sorts of other goodies. Backed by a monster twin disc clutch and new tremec T56 Magnum as well as 3.73 gears in the D44. It does 7500rpm, lol.
