Default Deleting Engine Stuff

I'm in the process of deleting various items/systems from my 86 engine. Mainly A/C, throttle body bypass, and air pump systems now. Previous owner already deleted the EGR tube into the intake base. Questions:

1. Can I also delete the coolant tube that is at the rear of the intake?

2. Can I also delete (and block off) the EGR valve that is on top/center of intake base?

3. The vacuum line for the fuel pressure regulator was going to the air pump stuff, but since that is going away, do I just connect it to one of the ports at the right/rear of the plenum?

Thanks!

The fuel pressure regulator should have been connected to the intake to begin with.
Don't delete the coolant tube from the rear of the intake.

I deleted all that stuff on my 90 except AC, TPIS sold me my EGR delete plate for the intake. you may have code 32 SES light after but if you buy a ECM chip the code 32 can be switched off. mine runs great with out it no detonation.

Got it all back together. Only strange thing now is the fan comes on right away. I replaced the coolant sensor on the front of the intake. Is there something else i need to mod with the A/C wiring... wondering if something with removing that stuff is triggering the fan?

fan inputs are coolant sensor, the AC presure switch on the freon liquid line or the fan relay is stuck closed, is the left fan staying on or the right, the right side will only run in hot weather with ac on. your fan operation wouldnt be affected buy A.I.R delete. you could disconnect fan relay and see if it stops running , relay is on the left side of the radiator. also the fan will run in diagnostic mode, ALDL pins A and B. if you need more info i will have to look at my manuals diagrams

My car has only one, large fan. I guess i will just wire it to a manual switch... it's mainly a track car... rarely stop-n-go stuff.

I believe the coolant switch that operates the fan is the one on the passenger side between cyl 6 and 8. The front one is for the dash.

you deleted ac. what did u do with the ac portion of the harness? it could be that the ac portion of the ecu is “seeing” high pressure.

The harness is still present, but the tubes and compressor are gone. I don't see how it could think there is any pressure.

I connected the harness back to the sensors. Looks like it's the little guy on the left...if I disconnect it the fan comes on, even though the tube is not connected to a pressurized system.
