2005 tire date code
My space saver spare tire has a 2005 date code. It still holds air but I don't trust it to last long if I have to use it. The tire size is T155 80 D16 and has been discontinued. So I would need to use a 17" replacement tire.
My question is: What space saver replacement 17" rim would fit on my car? Would a 1988 or newer Corvette/Camaro/Firebird space saver rim work?
I have stock brakes on my 1987.

The other day I was looking at some temp spare tires at tire rack. They do show this as coming available the end of August
