Security system
I have a C4 1988 Corvette bought used with 137,000 + miles on it. I drove it for 5 years, then one day at 5AM in the morning the horn started blowing by itself. I had to take off a battery cable to stop i The next day I put the cable back on and everything was OK. The next night at 5AM the horn started again. I did the same thing again. But this time the horn was not silent.
I have the shop manuals for it along with the wiring diagrams. I determined it was the Theft Deterrent Controller. This item is not available anymore. I am not concerned about theft I just want to drive my Car. Any body know how to short out the system so I can beep my horn so I can get the car inspected?
