Default Bracket for Battery Cables

I found this unsecured bracket. I think I know its purpose.

The bracket was holding the Positive and Negative cables going to the battery. The bracket is raising the cages off the Steering Rod.

Question: Where is the bracket mounted? I didn't find an obvious location.

It looks like the stud on your booster is short - that's why the bracket is hanging loose. Bolts and studs should have at least 2-3 threads showing when the nut is torqued down (see Macaroni's photo).Yours looks like -1 threads (below the face of the nut). It actually appears that the master cylinder casting base is a lot thicker on yours, and that may be the reason...

Agreed. The casting is different. The bolts on the booster are too short. A new investigation is needed. Thank you for the information, photo, and replies.
