I got a 1993 6-speed as my first car over the winter. We ended up paying around 9k for it and only problem was that I burnt the clutch learning to drive it.
Congrats! You only get one chance to have a Corvette for your very first car. You won't regret it - 56 years from now you can still feel proud of it. Ask me how I know!
Twinsies! Heck yeah! I think the 93 with 6 speed is one of the best bang for buck c4s you can get, plus the well bolstered seats!?
Great price too!
More info please, mileage, interior and engine bay picks? How does it shift?
Make sure to check your clutch fluid level now, it’s under the ECM in the engine bay. Bad hydraulics are the number one killer of the ZF6 (manual trans)
Also, get ready for some fun with the clutch, I bet it was ready to go or you have contamination, any oil leaks evident? I have a thread on my clutch job.

I don’t have any interior pics yet but when I get off work today I’ll take some. Clutch master cylinder is full, 171,000 miles, and no oil leaks so far
heres the engine bay
I bought my daughter a BMW Z4 with a manual for her first car. She too burned the clutch out. She eventually figured it out but is cost me a couple thousand for her education.
That's one heck of a first car! The car looks great to boot! My first car was a 1963 Ford Falcon with an I6 and 3spd on the column. I still have the car as well.
The nice thing about that being your first car is that it will be pretty reliable and when something needs fixed, iit's not terribly difficult to work on and will teach you a lot about working on the car. You will take more pride in the car when you fix it yourself as well. Definitely something to be proud of!
If you have not done it already, I encourage you to change the lubricant in the transmission and differential. No telling when it was done last. I have Amsoil in my '87.

Beautiful picture. May I ask, when was this taken, and has it been colorized?

Pic was taken 9-17-1967. It was a color slide, a forum member "tweaked" the color for me and generally cleaned it up, but it's pretty much as it was. Since you are interested, the original scan of the slide is here:
At least you can say you owned a Vette! One of my customers actually got me with a good laugh one time. He said... I own Vette too, but, its not the same as yours ... its a Chevette!

That picture and memories that go with it are priceless. The closest I came at that age was a 65 Barracuda with a 273 ci engine and a 4 speed trans back in 1973. I blew the rear end and went to the junkyard and found a posi unit for it... I was in heaven back then until I crashed it.

Yes, we all did stuff back then which endangered other people, ourselves, and our cars. I was fortunate nothing bad happened to me, but some of my actions I would not repeat today no matter how much you offered me.
