Default Another question

So I just replaced the fuel pump and now the car is running better, but now I've got misfires and some more smoke, I can give it gas but it still struggles bad and now randomly idles with a way high rpm help me please gosh

1) You need to check and see what's happening to the fuel pressure when the engine is cutting out or stumbling as the LT1 needs approx 40 - 42 psi for the fuel injectors to fire off.
2) You mentioned that you replaced the fuel pump but did you also replace the fuel filter located under the car on the passenger side?
3) Are you familiar with the paper clip method used to pull codes from the ALDL plug?

it would probably be a good idea to invest in a set of the 2-volume Factory Service Manual . Note that they are specific by individual year. You want the ones with the RED covers (final edition) not the white covers (preliminary edition). The FSM provides you with the diagnostic decision trees to hunt down the root cause of issues. For anyone who is going to keep and maintain their C4 ..... the FSM will save you $$$ over the long haul.

yea i made sure to check the pressure, I'm hovering around that point and I did also replace the filter, I am not however I'm not aware of the paper clip method, do explain further if at all possible. I'll also more than likely order the fsm very very soon in the future LOL thanks a lot!
