The dash lights are very dim and getting worst - I have forgotten the name of the company that can repair this common problem.
And another problem I think - the dash turn light indicator both come on a stays on bright when the engine is started - what does this?
Thanks
You may have a ground problem within the display. If you open it up, look for the connecting strip of terminals. The ground is the first one, and if it's bad, you'll see the black scorch marks on it. The heat reduces the spring tension which only makes the problem worse. On my board, I soldered a jumper wire around it, with insulated spade connectors in the middle to allow the boards to still separate. Replace your bulbs with LEDs to reduce the amperage, and ultimately, the heat problem. Heat is your enemy in these displays.

When you first turn the key, is the dash brighter and then dims?
Is the display not working? or is it just that they are dim?
On the 84-89 dash there are replaceable bulbs that backlight the display. When they are out the dash is dim. If only one is out, it is dim in that area, but other areas may be close to normal.
You can replace the bulbs from the front in about 15 minutes.
