The side post battery bolt on my 86 vette is stripped. Besides a bone yard, where can l purchase one.

I just pick them up at my local auto parts stores. Also available in various lengths.

yes - autozone, advanced, o'reilly's, pep boys, napa, etc.. those things seem to strip at the most inopportune times.

I have replaced mine with a regular bolt and nut. The bolt is longer than necessary and the nut is used as a locknut. The extra length of the bolt gives me an easy place to clamp on a battery charger.
