So apparently there’s a few places that make reproduction tanks. I found one for sale on a Corvette parts site that was coated. Price was ridiculous. Found the same manufacturer on RockAuto. I wasn’t too nutty about it being made in a foreign country 😒…….but it fit perfectly. The suppled bolts for the sending unit were junk. I soaked the factory ones in brake cleaner, then painted the heads with black rust converter. Everything bolted right back up with no fitment issues.

Thanks for the information, I did forget to ask one very important question.....Did the replacement tank have the fuel pump tray/housing box? On the original tanks it's plastic and helps keep the pump and filter sock submerged in the fuel for cooling and to avoid any fuel starvation, it's held down with rivets....on all aftermarket tanks I'm seeing online, there is no mention of these or pictures! It's a very important design element/requirement in my opinion and I'm very curious if it's there, what it's made of and how it's attached.....plastic with epoxy? Thanks for any insight you can provide👍
