Sweet ride for sure, show quality too. its so hard to telling the lighting but is that the grey/black like mine or the Malcolm Konner?
One other question for you, aluminum heads or cast iron if it is Grey/Black?
As you say the two tones are a small percentage of the builds for a particular year. Grey/Black 1138 and 3.2% of produced Cars in 86. 316 and 1% in Grey/Black for 87 , would love to find one of those for a playmate for mine. lol
Thanks Weeles! It's a silver beige metallic on top and Medium Brown Metallic on bottom. As far as aluminum heads on the '86. Joe C has quoted in the past "On Aluminum Head Corvettes (VIN #119016 or later) and all convertible models." So, you can check the vin. Also, have heard that if the valve cover bolts are in the middle of the cover it is aluminum, if they are on the outer rim then it is iron head. I ordered the window sticker and build sheet from the National Corvette Museum, great pieces to have with your 'vette. Thanks for posting!
here's a pic of my 85 with riken wheels. great wheels, but 16 inchers. because of limited tire availability, went to 17 inch zr-1 repros.
Man, Joe C, hard to figure out which look I like better, both are awesome. In the first one, the stripes looked great, they are hard to pull off on a two-tone and that looked sweet. Also, I dig those style Riken rims, I like the ZR-1 rims also, but I think the rims are about the only place you can make a statement with the C4. Loved the pics.

Dacer Spears, yours is one of my favorites on the forum. Freaking awesome!!!

Hi Dacer Spears , Thanks for the specific VIN start of Aluminum. Your colours must really pop in the sunlights well.
I know my 86 is a late production (bolts in the centre of covers). being the change of the material for the heads, was more curious (which I doubt we will ever know) How many of our two tones came factory with Cast Heads and Aluminum.
owned for three years now. at first, i wasn’t a fan of the two tone, but it quickly grew on me. i’m getting a bit tired of the salad shooters though. just picked up a cheap set of c5 wagon wheels, can’t wait to get them on the car
Is that a white/silver (195 produced in 1987), or a silver/gray (403 produced in 1987)? Either one is rare in 1987. Actually any 1987 2-Tone is kind of rare. Gray/blk was 316 produced and silver beige/brown was 447. Total of 1361 2-Tone 1987s of 20,007 Coupes. Not quite 7% of 1987 Coupes were one of the available four 2-Tone schemes.
Cool color if it is a wht/silver.
if i remember correctly, it’s a white/silver. here’s a pic with better lighting:
interior used to be beige but it was deteriorating when i bought the car so i swapped to black. pretty cool to know my car has some rareness to it
This is my 85. The two tone color definitely drew me in. Found a set of off the shelf Rays wheels that pretty closely match the bottom Medium Blue color. I've done a bunch of other things to this car, and of the more than a dozen quirky cars I have owned over the years, this Corvette is my favorite by far.

The two-tone C4s were really sharp looking cars. Unfortunately I see very few around here any more. Those pictured in this thread sure do look good and obviously have been lovingly cared for.
When I First saw mine in 1990, I absolutely loved the look and still do.
I think with all the cruises I have gone to I have only seen two but the funny thing was ..... this guy had a 86 medium gray / black. When I started
talking to him he told me the car used to be all one colour. LOL
I do like the contrast , no matter what the colour combo is.
Its really shocking that no one with an 84 has posted, the highest total production of two tones @8805
So far though we have seen at least one of each 85 available two tones, 2 of the 5 offered for 86 (including the MK) and 1 out of 4 offered in 87 being the second hardest two tone to get having only 195 produced.

Wow, that white / silver option is bad ***! I’ve never seen / heard of that option before.
