Default Valve spings?

I'm making a list of parts to get my vette running after sitting 20 years. I plan on replacing the valve stem seals while I have the covers off to do the leaky gaskets. This car will be 100% stock. Should I consider replacing the springs since I will have it apart anyway? Does sitting in one spot weaken the springs? Don't want to fight valve float.

If I remember correctly, some of the l98s had valve rotators..that would mess with install hight of an aftermarket spring. Can you even get oem springs for these motors anymore? My vette has cast heads for reference.

Thanks,

I just did mine along with the valve guide seals (FelPro), and got OEM GM stock springs from the dealer. They are readily available.

Did you use felpro intake seals on the exhaust side? The blue ones. I know many prefer that style on all valves

Nope, I went with the intake valve seals and exhaust valve seals as they are supplied by FelPro. They work perfectly. But I also have seen people use intake blue silicone seals on both intake and exhaust. Your call.
