HVAC programmer
96 Coupe LT4
I have the common problem of only defrost and foot air/heat. I’ve seen on this forum that the nipple block on the HVAC programmer has probably failed. At one point in time I read a great thread on this whole repair process. If anyone has an idea where to find it, I would be grateful. I’ve tried a search but to no avail.

I've got the same problem in my 96. I've got the dash half out atm so if someone could provide a LINK to the above search "96 HVAC Vent Control Problem" I'd appreciate it. I'm a newbie & just trying to work out how to navigate around this great site.

Just finished my repair. Had to get my wife to lay in the foot well and make the connections. The WD40 trick worked great. The blue pin connector in the back of the programmer took a bit to disconnect, but I was being careful not to break anything. Once I got the programmer out, the whole thing only took about an hour.
If anyone has questions, please let me know. Not near as hard as I thought it was going to be.
