Default 1995 Vette LT-1 Engine Replace

Looking for recommendations for reliable remanufacture engine source for 1995 Base Model with LT-1 engine. Lots of listings on google but not very well rated.
Thanks
Paul

Location might help.

But you can always reach out to Chad at Golen.

Here’s a link to a remanufactured long block. I don’t know anything about this company but they offer a 7 year unlimited mileage warranty. Seem to do everything right. Hot tank, magnaflux, and all new internals.

Are you trying to stay stock and go the cheapest route possible? There is also Golen engines. They build very high quality LT1s that exceed factory performance. Mild to wild. Check out their website as well.

In Charlotte NC, had seen Golen listing, do you have any experience with them?

Not the cheapest way, trying to stay close to stock, more interested in quality of remanf.
Thanks for the info

I have no personal experience with Golan. I’ve just heard that their quality is top shelf and they really know these engines. I’ve read a couple magazine articles on their builds as well.

For what you'd spend on a reman, if you can do some of the work yourself you could rebuild the existing engine (unless of course you put a rod through the block).

Take it out, tear it down, have the block, heads, crank, and rods/pistons gone through and cleaned up/refreshed at a machine shop. Add new rings and bearings, and then reassemble. There's a little more to it than that.....but not much.

Just to give you an idea of what you're up against....

Where did you get that engine lifting plate? Sweet!

Also, which headers are those?

The plate was from "TPIS" and it was called the "Happy Hooker". I don't think they sell them anymore but they're probably still out there used via eBay or similar.

The shorty headers were Hooker shorty headers.

When I built the 383, I went to full length Exotic Muscle headers
