Ok, so I thought I would try basic tuning of my 1995 Vette. I have watched dozens of videos, read numerous posts, and read many articles and countless Google searches. My question, for those that do this regularly, is the .bin file the same as the XDF file I downloaded from Tunerpro? I assume that you do not download the .bin file from your ECM, or even if that is possible, to make tuning changes. You datalog then make changes to the XDF file from Tunerpro, which will then save it as a .bin file to then upload that file into your ECM. Am I correct in this? Also when datalogging is it a read only proposition, or are you able to make changes on the fly in the computer? From what I've read its a trial and error process. Datalog, change software, upload to ECM, repeat.....
The XDF file configures Tunerpro to read/edit the bin file. The XDF file is separate from the bin and corresponds to the PCM being used.
Not sure about the mechanics of interfacing with a '95 PCM though... on a 90-91 ECM, with an emulator, you can then program on the fly by having Tunerpro interface with the emulator (so you're not having to burn chips)... which is what I do.
Maybe someone famliar with the 95 PCM can also chime in....

Thanks, do you happen to know where to find the bin? On the Tunerpro website the xdf files are listed under .bin files which is what is leading to my confusion.
For your '95 PCM you are much better to use EEHACK (to Datalog) and FLASHHACK ( To Program/Flash the PCM)
You can also use the EEX Definition (XDF File to edit the BIN using TUNERPRO). You can also find the BIN there, or you can just read your own BIN from your own PCM.
EEHACK is the most safest Software to Program the '94/'95 PCM's ;as these PCM's are suceptible to being Locked (Bricked) during Programming.
