Do you want "passable drover" paint, or show car paint?
Passable drover paint can be done DIY for cheap. Decent driver paint can be done for under $500 plus your time sanding and spraying. Anyone paying $10k for a paint job is out of their damn minds, on ANY car.
Stop by a couple local Maacos and ask what they'd charge, that's gonna give you a decent price floor for what a shop will charge. You might find a painter who does work on the side too.
At the end of the day, paint isn't rocket science, it's just really bad for your health. If you've got a garage and a free weekend or two, you can buy a setup to spray paint for under $200 at harbor freight, and paint you can go as wild as you want, or buy decent paint or plastidip for a couple hundred bucks.

my best guess - same color, base/clear, sand and shoot, figure $5K for something decent - prices go up from there. too many variables to pin point higher end jobs. squirting paint is the easy part - getting there is the hard part.
