Default Digital Dash

May be a dumb question… I’m considering taking out my digital dash on my ‘87 Vette and having it redone with new lights. What i’m wondering is can you take the digital dash cluster out without taking out the vehicles odometer? Or is that one piece attached to the cluster?
Thank you

They both come out as one whole unit. The odometer is screwed into its own little section in the corner, connected to the rest of the cluster via a little cable.

All one. If just changing the bulbs you don't need to remove unless you are changing the bulb sockets as well.

I agree with BillDurant, go with Batee if you're going to have it rebuilt. A friend of mine just had his done, he liked it and the price.

You can pull the cluster and change the bulbs and sockets and reinstall in about 2 hours taking you time. I replaced mine with LED’s. The light is much better and no heat on the cluster.

Agreed. I pulled the cluster on my 89 and installed LED bulbs form Batee. Best interior upgrade I did.

I put LEDs in mine, and the only downside is that they don't dim. Either that, or my dimmer doesn't work.

I wish there was a low heat oem style bulb as an option.
