Default My 1984

Attached are some pictures of my 84’ corvette from before the carpet replacement and how it is now.Re did the interior and now looking to modify the engine but have no idea where to start. I’ve seen mixed reviews on the cross fire engines but was wondering if anyone had any ideas. As seen in pictures it is an automatic 84 and almost completely stock other than the exhaust. and some 94 seats in there.

Thanks. Took some time but came out looking way better than I thought it could. Well worth it.

As far as the engine how big is your wallet ? But if you want to maintain the originality there is a member on here who can help you with some crossfire mods....but cant recall his name. Anyone?

I was going to buy a motorcycle and spend anywhere from 3600-5000 but thinking about it would rather just put it into the car. The engine I have no particular need to keep original but would like the interior to stay how it is now. If that’s possible of corse. This will probably not happen until it starts to get cold here in Illinois so I have a long time to think about it before it goes away for the snow.

looks great. I don’t understand the c8 part tho? Is this a typo or am I missing something. I’ll show my engine bay later today.

I believe someone was eluding to @Buccaneer

As far as the engine you'd have have to ask yourself what you want from it. Do you want it to appear stock but with way more power, or are you ok with a top breathing air filter and carb setup?

Staying with a stock appearance you'd be looking at replacing the heads, intake, headers, larger injectors, $1k for a tuneable PCM...

Or just slap a crate motor in it with a carb if you want cheaper power

Or go with an LS swap and transmission change if you want long term modable high power output.

Pick your headache

I don’t care for what under the hood looks like as long as it doesn’t look dumb. Which I doubt it would. I just want the digital dash and all the interior or the car. Swap is always an option. Or just doing stuff to the current motor. Rn the cars at 80k miles if that changes anything.

If you change the fuel delivery type you'll lose the instant and average mpg gauge functions. But the rest of the dash will still be there
