I replaced my 85’s RPM gauge with a new LCD a few years ago, and it went smoothly and turned out fine. I just got around to replacing the middle screen, the last one that was original, and i replaced the bulbs with led ones at the same time. Now, the screen is missing a lot of things, like the “unleaded fuel only” and the outlines to the different segments, and there’s a problem with the last number of the oil temp reading. I’ve taken it apart and everything looks to be in place, but i’m no expert. Could this be a faulty screen, or faulty bulbs, or something with the circuit board itself? Any help would be appreciated!
I had an issue like that as well. The solution, in my case, was that little spring that holds the middle panel was pushing the wrong way. I had it pushing down, and the side to side alignment was off. Here is a video showing how to reassemble, and at 5:50 he explains how to install the center panel.

Thanks for the response, I got another screen and installed it and it’s back to its former glory now, guess that’s a lesson to stay away from cheap chinese parts😂
