Hey guys, i have an 84 Corvette with 48k on it. Ive replaced so much stuff on it as far as maintenance type things. I really enjoy that kind of thing. My question is my alternator appears to be original, maybe it was rebuilt or something im not 100% sure. Im wondering if i should just proactively replace it? Is it worth it or should i just leave good enough alone? Thanks

I replaced mine when it failed, but saved the original and rebuilt it to keep as a spare.
I have yet to find a quality aftermarket replacement for any American car alternator that isn't Chinese junk. I always hold onto originals now and send them out.
