I know its trivial, but important to me. Here is a picture of the new keyring that I found on Etsy, next to the one that I bought 45 years ago when I purchased the 1965 ragtop. I had save to old one in my precision tool box, waiting for the day that I got another Corvette. The keys on the old one are the spares to the '96.
The colors of the emblem aren't perfect, should have been switched around, however it was the closest I could find. One day, one of the kids or grandkids will get these and know the old man was a gearhead and grew up in the best of times (besides the '65, I had a 68 & 69 Roadrunner, a SS 396 Chevelle, an '80 Z28 and a couple 5.0 Mustangs).
My 2nd fob just snapped at the keyring. I bought what I'm guessing was a 3D printed shell a few years ago for $20, which actually looked almost as good as OEM. Now the damn things are $100. I knew inflation was bad, but I didn't think it was that bad!

Corvettes have always been my main interest.
David,
Please keep an eye on your mail this coming week, I sent you a small token of my appreciation this morning, I hope it's to your liking, not "new", but maybe more what you were looking for!
Mr.Cook helped me out this past winter with a nearly impossible part to find that I needed for my D36! I just want other forum members to know, he's a great guy👍

If you keep saying things like this my head will swell up so big I won't be able to put my shirts on.
Well, at least on my '96, I'm able to turn off the RF auto unlock/lock and just use the buttons to lock/unlock and pop the hatch.
Truthfully, I never looked into it. It gave me an excuse to not carry it. I had another key ring a buddy gave me that I used up until it broke a few weeks ago. I switched over to a Volunteer Vette "give away" keyring until the one above arrived.
