1990 Electrical problems
Over the last 4-5 days I've been having some electrical demons pop up in my car, I have a 1990 base model
The first symptom was the INFL REST light coming on, I've done some research and found quite a few threads and discussions regarding issues pertaining to the grounding of the sensors etc.
The second symptom was my ABS kicking in on dry asphalt going approx. 35km/h approaching a red light so I wasn't braking hard, or really braking at all. This only happened once
The third symptom was the car pulling too much power when toggling certain electrical. For example if I were to be driving at approx. 60km/h and hit my window switches the battery gauge would jump way down and the dash lights go off. It's not just the windows either, after a bit of driving I noticed that using my brakes would cause similar power loss. I got curious and pressed my brakes quickly and after about 4 quick presses the car shut off while idling.
I plan on checking my alternator, battery, and the restraint crash sensors but other than that the more I try and figure this stuff out the more I get confused LOL
