Default Need a pic

I need a picture of the oil switches at the back of the intake with wiring for a 95 base model And the one that goes by the oil filter. I can't seem to find the wire for the switch that uses the single wire. I did find a dark wire that will almost reach but can't find the plug for it. I took the engine out 3 years ago and now it's installed and this is holding me up. I checked around the bellhousing to see if it got caught but nothing. What color are the wires for the three sensors. My factory book has nothing on the oil switches wiring. Is the single pin switch for the fuel pump to stay on after getting oil pressure? If so what color wire should I be looking for. Thanks

Do you have the FSM? It seems you likely don't BUT if you do 8A-201-11 has an illustration that could help you. You could potentially see where the wires exit the conduit. Between that illustration and the FSM wiring diagrams for wire colors cavities etc should solve your issues. You need the FSM. If you don't have I can help you drop me a PM or email using the links to the left by clicking on my user ID.

**What are the wire colors at your 3 way connector now that you believe to be oil related?

There's no 'Delete' option any longer !!!! I don't know that if you reached out to a Moderator that you could actually get a post deleted without very good cause !

I have the fsm but it shows 2 wires going to each one. I have three wires going to one switch and am missing the 1 wire going to the other switch. Looking into the switch it has the same plug as the other but only 1 terminal inside. Therefore I'm assuming I am missing one wire. I have nonschematic in this book. I'm thinking when the previous owner installed the vortech supercharger they cut the plug off and grounded the wire so the fuel pump will run without the switch. I need a color to look for. But in all honesty I can't remember three years ago when I pulled the engine out. If i wait to start it to see if I needed it it will be a bear to get to then. Thanks. P.S I can't believe I spent 3 hours in the garage looking for this one wire. I was contemplating pulling the engine back out. I'd rather do a heater core than work on this one problem. 😄

There is no 2 wire and 2 wire! Do you have a hanging LT BLU wire? Yes the switch/sensor connectors are identical with the gauge sensor & fuel switch being the 3 terminal and the single is for warning. If you have a FSM see 8A-51-4 and 8A-82-2

The single terminal oil pressure switch is a lt blue / black wire. It illuminates the CHECK GAUGES light when there is no oil pressure.
The other sender at the back of the engine is the oil pressure gauge and the fuel pump relay over-ride. Tan, orange, gray wires.

The sender above the oil filter stand is oil temperature. It has two terminals, two wires. Dk grn/wht (gauge in cluster) and dk grn. (Input to ECM.)

Thanks, so I'm looking for a light blue/black wire? It should be in the same harness right near the the other switch in the tee as the fsm shows? I want to make sure it's not from another harness because as of now I still haven't located it or any cut or hanging wire. I'll dig into it more tonight when it gets cooler and less aggravating outside. Thanks again for the help.

Thanks to everyone I found it. The plug was broke so I need a new one. Hopefully I can still buy one. It must have got cut when I pulled the engine. It's going to be fun to reach down there and solder a new wore on but I'll get r done. Thanks again. I'm sure I'll have more questions in the future.

It was LT BLU or did it actually have a BLK 'tracer'?

You didn't correct it 2 days ago! I only saw the OP's response today 2AM and responded! I don't go back and review entire threads before posting! I knew you had errored in your post a few minutes after you posted. I even 'hinted' for you the LT BLU in my post# 8. I could have just posted the diagram but OP insisted he had 2 wires to each and had manuals so I just left it alone. If the OP had a correct FSM I posted FSM locations enough that he should have sorted it a few days ago.

It's good that he's fixed but he asked for a PIC and I don't know anyone could have supplied that!
