Hello guys I got a 1990 c4 vette not getting gas to the passenger side of the cylinders (all 4) I am getting spark to the spark plug. New injectors, new wires, new distributor, new spark plugs. I've checked pulse to injectors. And all good. Car runs but runs like ****. I can take off all the spark plug wires on the passenger side and won't make a difference. Once I remove any one of the passenger side car will die. Gas pressure is good at 42lbs. Injector fuse are good. Don't know what else to check SMH. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Ps I've change all injectors from one side to the other. Makes no difference. When I remove a plug from driver side. After running a bit. Looks normal. When I remove from passenger side. It's black. On all plugs. Tia
There are two statements you made that conflict with themselves. You said on one whole side injectors are not working, but that you have checked "pulse to the injectors" and all is fine.
To me, if there are issues with one side of injectors, the main suspects are the wiring, injector fuse(s), and/or the ECM itself. Try swapping the fuses and see if the problem moves to the other side. If it doesn't, then the ECM and the wiring harness to that bank of injectors are the things I'd check next.
Do you have a NOID light? How are you checking the injector wiring currently?
Sorry what I mean was I am getting pulse to the Injectors but seems like the are not opening. Foe some reason. Thought it was the injectors but I swapped them.
I've switched the fuel feed lines but to be honest I did not check the rail to see if that o e is clogged. Would it be possible if feeds on the one not working but the other is fine?
All injectors share one common feed line. There are two fuel lines up front, one is the supply, one is the return back to the tank for excess fuel that was not used by the injectors.
What do you mean you've switched the fuel feed lines? You mean you've reversed the fuel lines at the connection point up front of the rail near the air intake / throttle body?
Be sure that you've got the correct lines to the feed line vs. the return line. On some years, it's possible to reverse them and then nothing good comes from that.
Your lines should look like this photo. The line with the windings around it is the feed line, it goes on the right side fuel supply rail input.
Yes I've switched them at the front. Close to Air filter. I have upgraded the lines from the fuel filter to the rails. With the 6an braided style hoses and an after market fuel pressure regulator. At the return side.
