Default 1996 Corvette convertable

Good morning everyone, just purchased a 1996 corvette convertible
. I live in Daytona beach shores. I never owned a corvette before, and was told out of all the C4 corvettes, that the 1996 was the best year. Any thoughts on that, thanks so much.

Congrats on your C4 and welcome to the forum.

I’m moving this to the C4 General section for comment.

Congratulations! Yes, the '96 is the last year of the C4 and probably the best although not sure how much better if any, than a '91 to '95 unless yours is a manual with the LT4 engine.

You have to post a photo of your car though.

Default Water pump

I thought the 1995-1996 had a diverter valve on the water pump so no water will drip in the OptiSpark. Am I correct or mistaken, thanks so much for your help

I don’t think the 91’s have the op spark by the hose

Nope. You are probably thinking of the vented design to draw air into the opti

Beautiful car. '86 TPI was an improvement on the CFI engines. If yours runs well, enjoy the heck out of it.
