Window Replacement
Not seeing any threads on the forums about where to buy replacement side windows. I've been wanting new ones for a while but I just scratched the film clean off in a fit of frustration-fueled negligence while replacing the outer window seals.
I do see a lot for sale that look like they came off of cars - is there nowhere that makes new without a custom order? Or is it better to have mine refinished? The scratches I put in are far from the first they have.

They can often be polished but it depends on how deep the scratches are obviously. If local glass shops don't want to do it, I would recommend checking in with a local window tint shop or detailer.
In my experience, the OEM glass is better quality and fit. I once had some PPG glass installed after someone tried to break into the car, and it never really fit quite right.

Interesting. I doubt the scratches are all that deep, I just wonder how well the originals can really clean up. I need to call around for some quotes soon anyway - beautification is the final step on my to-do list for the car.
