i’m considering either a one inch or two inch however i’m not sure if the front end would seem higher if i go with the two inch drop. i know the back end is a tad bit higher so im just wondering
I used 300mm bolts and I'm pretty sure I lowered the rear about 1.5"
Note that many C4s, including mine, "lean" to one side. I dropped the left and right side a different amount. IIRC about 1/8" different to ensure each side was the same ride height.
Try an inch in the rear. Problem with dropping the rear is you get closer to the big hard rubber bump stop, and if you hit the bump stop during hard cornering, it can upset the car and result in loss of control. Bump stop can be trimmed or removed, but you need at least a soft bump stop on the shock. Even more a problem with the soft rear springs, and soft rear shocks.
I lowered mine 1.5in in the rear, looks flat and mean. I went to alro metals and picked up B56 grade threaded rod instead of A11. Nearly equivalent to grade 5. Then I bought 2 flat washers, lock washers and nuts per rod. Locktight and they have been good so far

you know the name for the bushings that are on this bolt?
I have lowered my past two C4s with the longer bolts. Both times I ended up driving and adjusting a couple of times to get the "look" I wanted and even side to side. Be sure to use the correct grade bolts and have your alignment checked afterward. Having bought several sets of C4 tires I always want the alignment verified after messing with suspension parts.
Don't worry about a number and keep turning nut till YOU are happy with look.
This got me in trouble. I put the longer bolts in the back and coil overs in the front of my 84. I set the ride height in the garage. Well I had it so low I couldn't get out of my own driveway lol.
GM had a tech bulletin years ago about the different ride height from left to right in the rear. It was a known issue. I had to lower the rear 1 inch on one side and 1 1/2 on the other to make it look even. I dropped the front a lot. Not sure how much but it was way more than the wedge kit could do.
you know the name for the bushings that are on this bolt?
I've used a good quality kit that had bushings for top and bottom, they were just black urethane pucks, the washers wire thick hardened washers, and the bolts were fine thread. Can't remember the brand but something like this:
Before that, I had a cheap eBay kit, and the bolts were a little bit thinner (thinner that OEM), washers were a little bit thinner. I would only use top quality hardware.
Not sure I remember correctly, but you should be able to reuse the OEM rubber bushings?
