Help needed
I have recently bought this C4 and am figuring out the ins and out of it and have discovered this unplugged. Is there a possible good reason it is unplugged and what does it lead to? I have been having issues with the car starting off a cold start and am wondering if this could be the cause? I suspect fuel pump otherwise. The injectors, battery, and relay are all good. Thanks!

That is the A/C Clutch Cycling Switch. It will have nothing to do with difficult cold starts.
It looks like a 1985 based on the heater valve and A.I.R. valve configuration, but could be a 1986 Coupe with iron heads.

The A/C compressor won't engage if that is unplugged. If the system is low on refrigerant the clutch will cycle rapidly. Or the compressor may be noisy or 'bad'. Or seized. There's probably something wrong with the A/C, and the PO or his mechanic didn't want the compressor to be engaged.
