Default Its Always Something

As we all know with C4's because of their age sometimes its a revolving door of repair. for us. After replacing the thermostat that was sticking closed, and the plugs, fuel filter and fuel regulator it was running terrific. A few days ago it got to 230 in stop and go driving, but the fans came on and lowered temp as expected. Was only a few minutes from the house so once there got out but heard noise of coolant tank overflowing to recovery tank. After going through a moment of WTFs going on came to a moment of clarity and realized the coolant cap must be weak and not holding proper pressure. Sure enough, quick run to AutoZone and all is good in the world again.

Lets see how many more weeks of enjoyment I get before next moment.

It's part of the cycle of owning an old car! 😂

I love this car >> weird nose >> I hate this car >> wait, I actually do like working on it >> fixing the issue >> I love this car... then over and over again...

Think of it this way. If it was a new car, the cap wouldn't be available on the shelf, it'd be part of a $500 assembly, and you'd have to code it into the car at the dealer, lol.

having just dropped $200 to have a key made on my other vehicle I agree 100%. But my problem is that when I go online to order that $10 radiator cap I sometimes accidentally order a set of headers or new rims. My mouse must be bad and need replacing. I would order one but who know what else might get bought by accident.

I love this! In my first few months of owning this car, there were many problems and there was a ">> this car must be cursed >> step in there somewhere!
