Default Headlights

I have a 95 C4 with the stock halogen headlights. I am also a senior citizen, and I could use a little extra light driving at night.
Does anybody have any recommendations for replacing these stock headlamps with something that will give me more light at night?
Thanks for your help.

Search LED headlight conversion on the forum and YouTube, you'll find quite a bit of information,

These HWStar projector LEDs are just as bright and clear as OEM LED/HID headlights. One of the best upgrades I've made to my car.

I've been meaning to ask, were these directly plug and play, or were other upgrades (wiring etc.) necessary?

Thank you!

As another senior citizen (almost 79) I too need more light for my 1996. Looks like one said yes, plug and play. My question is, hopefully they are plastic (not glass) and lite in weight, right?

Plastic front, not super light. They have metal bodies and big heatsinks on the back. Not any heavier than a stock housing though.

I have 2 more sets of headlights coming to try out over the next 2 days, the HWSTAR are one of them. My issue with most of these lights is they have point style or very narrow highbesms that won't illuminate the sides of the road.

I went with Hella bodies and 100W-80w H4 halogen bulbs in mine. Very happy with them.
They are a direct bolt-in/plug-and-play replacement.
I am also a senior citizen; much closer to 80 than to 70, and those lights work for me.

It's basically plug and play. The only additional parts I used were D-Lumina LED CANBUS decoders, which eliminate the high beam/foglight issue some have after installing LED headlights. The decoders plug in directly between the headlight and the car's wiring harness. Here's the Amazon link for the decoders:

I got the HWSTAR Volcanic series (the ones that are about $80) today. I'm not super impressed with them to be honest. Compared to the Auxbeam light I was also not impressed with, they're noticeably less bright (still pretty bright though), and don't have as nice of a light spread. They have noticeably less beam width, but the high beam is wider. It's still fairly narrow though, but it's better.

It also has some very strange stuff going on optically at the bottom, there's two distinct odd light patterns pointed fairly low that appear to just be screw ups in the design, and wasted light.

Points for the high beam being a bit wider than the auxbeams, but it's inferior to those in every other way. I don't think it's gonna be my pick for my car. I think I'd be inclined to try the auxbeams over them.

Pictures are on the roof of my garage, and they're upside down. This one is the HB picture, you can see the HB is box shaped which is nice, but still not super duper wide.

This is the low beam. All kinds of weird optical aberrations going on with what would be the bottom of the beam.
