Recently acquired a 95 Coupe from the original owner. 15,000 miles, always garaged, still had the original window sticker.
Color is "Dark Purple Metallic" with black leather interior. Really stands out. I have never seen a Corvette this
color, and wherever I go people comment on the color. I am a senior and it is a little bit difficult to get into and out of, but
definitely worth it. I have only modified two items. First, it had the original Goodyear Gatorbacks, and I was surprised
to find out Goodyear no longer makes tires to fit the car, and then Michelin also no longer makes tires to fit. My only two choices were
Continental or Nitto, and I went with the Continentals. Other modification was the headlights. At night the original halogen did
not do a good enough job for my eyes, so I bought a set of LED projector headlights and the difference was significant.
Looking forward to some cruising!
Great color. Just FYI, sizing down a tire size gives more choices (including some all-seasons).. But you can't go wrong with Continentals on a C4. Enjoy and welcome.
Sizing down is not a good idea. It changes the diameter and therefore the drive ratio, so the
tach and speedo are no longer accurate. If you want to downsize but keep the overall
ratio you have to change the aspect ratio also affecting the performance because of less rubber
on the road.
Check the parts section.
Mycohead has a set of new Michlen Pilots 275x40 17 for $500.
I have the same tires on my 89, paid $1100. Very happy with them.
Idk if the 95’s have staggered wheel sizes but it’s worth taking a look

Thanks for the lecture. Since you already know more about this than I, there'll be no more from me.
