Amp install

I just bought a 1984 C4 and would like to know if there is a grommet to run a power wire from the battery to my amp. I'm trying to avoid drilling a hole but can't find a grommet to use. Help please?

On my 92 there was an entry point on the side behind the battery area on the driver's side. There was a vacuum line running through there already.

If you are mounting the amp towards the rear of the car, one of the best spots I found is at the halo below the cargo lamp. There is a metal plug that pops out pretty easily, you can access it from the front of the rear wheel well. If you remove the lower rocker trim you can run the wire nice and neatly in there where it will be protected from the elements.

I made a hole in firewall behind battery and ran it to my amp under passenger seat.

I also did the same, worked well for 24 years I owned the car!
