Quick question
Not a giant deal but something that has bothered me. When I jack up my 96 with a floor jack or my Quick Jack it seems as if the fiberglass/ABS running boards are just a tad lower than the metal frame. It always seems to distort the running board a small amount. I plan this fall to remove the running boards and have them painted, I am contemplating carefully filing down the running boards at the jacking locations to be flush with the metal frame so no distortion occurs while jacking. Anyone ever do this? Thanks, Dan

I haven't done this, but have the same thing on my 92. I have a couple of spots where the lip down there has cracked or bent over the years from it.
It's a nothingburger to me cuz my car is a track car, but I could see cutting or sanding down the area where the jacking points are.
