Default ECM Brackets?

So, now that my '94 decided to burn and the fire department decided they needed to do some cutting, I am in the process of considering what's next. And another C4 might be an option. It bugs me though that ECM brackets seem to not be available anymore? The one in my car was broken so I bought one from Corvette Central and replaced it. But what if I get another with a broken ECM bracket? If I could get the one off my car I would but the insurance company might object heavily to me doing that now. So what are the options available to us going forward? I have noticed used ones are available from vette2vette and some ebay sellers but buying from overseas can be a bit of a hassle.

Reach out to Corvette Generations. They specialized in all C4 stuff. They don't really advertise... but they have a yard of about 50+ C4s and maybe 30 C3s. They always have what I need...

Corvette Generation – C3/C4 Corvette Parts & Service Experts

For some reason, Corvette Generation doesn't even come up when you search Google. You have to add "Dade City, Fl" for it to even be in the first three search result pages. But they are awesome... been there several times.

Unfortunately, I've totaled a few cars. From my experience I would say the insurance company would not care about that bracket. If the FD had to cut the car, etc I doubt they will even pay any mind to something like that. The interior, stereo etc, sure. Just my $.02.

I knew somebody that had a C3 convertible. The car was involved in a very minor accident but the insurance totaled the car and paid the owner the agreed value. By the time the company came out to pick up the car it was missing and absolutely perfect complete soft top assembly, steering wheel,A/C compressor and a bunch of other stuff. If you have access to the car go get the bracket.
